The SIS 1202 interpreter station is designed for two interpreters. Each interpreter can connect a headset or a microphone and
headphones to the interpreter station. The headphone signal can be switched between the original and a
selected relay language. The original language is fed into the control unit via a mixing console or a conference system. The relay language
is a translation of the original language that the interpreter can use if they are unable to interpret from the current
original language.
The user panel is designed according to practical criteria and comfort so that the interpreter can operate the station intuitively.
The interpreter station is connected to the control unit. Usually, up to 4 interpreter stations can be connected in a chain to one control unit. Optionally, the control unit can be equipped with two additional modules, each with 4 connectors for additional
foreign languages, so that up to 12 interpreter stations can be connected in a chain. With the "EarPatron" hearing protector, the sound pressure does not exceed the maximum value. In addition, the noise level achieved is also displayed as a percentage. With the "EarPatron", all headphones have the same maximum sound pressure level and volume range after the headphone data has been entered. The large display shows the selectable audio and relay channels as well as information about the EarPatron function. Two additional lines can be programmed via the control unit or computer (e.g., caller name, time, etc.).

The SIS 1202 interpreter console, developed in collaboration with renowned conference interpreters, is designed for two interpreters who can work in shifts.

The interpreter console, located in a soundproof booth, is the primary tool for simultaneous interpreters. The SIS 1202 control panel is designed as a dual console for use by two interpreters in turn to ensure smooth translation. All relevant operating settings (e.g., monitoring/relay channels and output channels, either in direct or A/B mode) can be configured by a technician in the control center or by the interpreters themselves on the respective consoles, both before and during the interpretation.

On the interpreter console, the speaker's original language can be monitored and interpreted synchronously via headphones and microphone or via the DT 394.SIS headset combination. In addition, a freely selectable relay channel on the console allows access to another interpreter's preset translation at the touch of a button without any sound dropouts (cabinet change) if the speaker's original language is not known. Of course, the original language can be switched back just as quickly. The large 4-line display not only shows the selectable speech and relay channels, but also displays information from the patented EarPatron® hearing protection function in real time.

The control center also displays useful information that can be programmed individually, such as the name of the current speaker or the time. A clearly visible red transmission indicator shows that the interpreter's console is in active translation mode. If necessary, the interpreter can use a service button to send a message to the service technician via the control center's touch screen.

The technician provides visual confirmation to the interpreter. Individual audio control, which can be adjusted to the interpreter's personal needs, includes volume, treble, and bass controls. The mute function (throat-clearing button) interrupts audio transmission to the system for the duration of the button press.
