Das Surface ist einfach ein Controller für das MixRack. Es hat auch ein Audio-Rack eingebaut, um bequem lokale Ein- und Ausgänge an der Mix-Position bereitzustellen. Es verfügt über einen großen analogen Stil, eine Steuerung pro Funktionsverarbeitungsblock, TouchScreen, virtuellen Schreibstreifen mit Namen und Farbe, Bänke von motorisierten Fadern mit unabhängigen Schichten, SoftKeys, eingebaute Kopfhörer, lokalen Monitor und Talkback. Das iLive-T112 Surface bietet alle iLive-Funktionen in einem kostengünstigen, leichten Gehäuse mit Festformat-E/A.

Das MixRack ist das Herzstück des iLive-Systems und beherbergt den DSP, die meisten I/O-, Netzwerk- und Steuerungsschnittstellen. Der iDR-48 liegt mit 48 Mic/Line-Eingängen und 24 XLR-Line-Ausgängen in der Mitte des Festformatbereichs.
