Key Capabilities

Higher 4K Density: While Gen 1 cards supported single 4K60p signals per slot, Gen 2 I/O cards support up to two 4K@60p signals per slot (or up to four HD signals).

Modern Connector Interfaces: Includes HDMI 2.0 (600 MHz max bandwidth), DisplayPort 1.2, and 12G-SDI connectors for single-cable 4K60 video ingestion and routing.

Tri-Combo Architecture: Standard Gen 2 cards (like the 4K60 Tri-Combo Input/Output cards) blend multiple signal formats onto a single card—featuring a mix of 12G-SDI, HDMI 2.0, and DisplayPort 1.2 connections.

Backward Compatibility: Gen 2 I/O cards fit into existing Event Master chassis slots and can co-exist alongside original Gen 1 cards.
